Ron Mirr – Founder & President
Ron’s passion for numismatics began in childhood, visiting coin stores in Richmond, VA and New York City. Since founding Liberty Coins in 1985, he’s built a reputation as one of the country’s most respected coin grading authorities. As a Life Member of the American Numismatic Association and authorized dealer for PCGS, NGC, and CAC, Ron specializes in rare gold and silver U.S. coins and currency.
From pre-1933 U.S. gold coins to traditional silver commemorative coins, classic large cents to rare type coins and bullion sales, Ron offers an incredible array of premium quality certified coins for the discriminating collector. He’s experienced in appraising inherited coin collections of any size, whether you’re selling a family coin collection or evaluating estate coins.
As a nationally recognized dealer, Ron attends numismatic shows regionally and throughout the country, bringing world-class expertise and fair coin buy and sell offers to every transaction.
Jeff Inman – Senior Appraiser
Jeff grew up immersed in the coin business through his father’s shop, learning the trade from childhood. After retiring from Virginia Power, he returned to his numismatic roots. Jeff maintains a booth at the Williamsburg Antique Mall featuring proof sets, Indian and Lincoln cents, and other collectible coins. He’s an integral part of Liberty Coins, assisting Ron with professional coin appraisals and sales.
Karen Rice – Operations Manager
Karen rejoined Liberty Coins in January 2024, having previously worked for the business during college in the 1990s. As Ron’s sister, she returned to the Richmond area from West Virginia to care for their mother and support the family business. Karen attends major coin shows with Ron, tracks inventory, and manages our business operations, ensuring smooth service for every client who trusts us with their valuable collections.
